No more debates, she has told enough lies, and, will now start weeping for votes again. What is there left to "debate?" We all know where they stand. This woman will do anything to get the nomination, and, proceed to give McCain a landslide.


She and her man are just too much with the lies, but, then again, they had one of the most corrupt WH's next to GW Bush, so, not a big surprise there.

I agree with nmp and ronnie b. This whole, "I'm running out of money and can't pay my staff" admission yesterday was a ploy to get people donating to her campaign. She earned $6.4 mil in 24 hours.


As someone said earlier, we have to stay focused because the Clinton machine is powerful.

Apparently, this who "short of funds" thing is a stunt orchestrated by the Klinton campaign.

All the more reason for all Obama supporters to give anything they can whether online, by phone, or mail. Dollars add up and if one has to spend 99 cents to buy a $3.01 money order then mail it in because we know Senator Obama needs and appreciates the support (props to granny who got the shout out in the SC victory speech).

This is nothing but a ploy from the Clinton campaign! Why do you think she released the information that she loaned the campaign $5MM? This is a free national fund-raising appeal to women. Ok fine, no more debates now but what about in the national campaign where there will be more debates and McCain brings up O's the rated the most liberal in the Senate; has missed the most votes then any other senator since being there a mere 3 years; skipped the Iran vote that he crucifies Hillary on; that his wife sits on the board of one of Wal-marts biggest suppliers and has done nothing about women workers or unions or health care provided to the surrounding poor communities and the rates it charges; his stating in his Iowa victory speech, which is now compared to Dr. King's I have a Dream speech that he passed Nuclear regulation leg. when it in fact was never passed even after being watered down (but he took the owner's campaign contributions and axlerod used to work for them) and his fighting for the Maytag workers who lost their job when all reports indicate his was MIA on the issue, has received over $300K in campaign donations from the owners of Maytag and the workers union is support her, or the fact that as chairmen of the Senate sub-committee on foreign affairs and hasn't held a signal committee yet or the awarding by his church of its highest honor to Louise Farrakhan or the fact that his relationship with Resko goes way beyond working 5 hours for him as a young lawyer. I don’t expect anyone here to respond to these items and she won’t bring them up as she is worried about being labeled as divisive; but McCain will.

112 crime fighting bills,

97 economic bills,

60 human rights and anti-discrimination bills,

21 ethics reform bills,

15 gun control,

6 veterans affairs and many others.



His first year in the U.S. Senate, he authored 152 bills and co-sponsored another 427. These inculded

**the Coburn-Obama Government Transparency Act of 2006 (became law),

**The Lugar-Obama Nuclear Non-proliferation and Conventional Weapons Threat Reduction Act, (became law),

**The Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act, passed the Senate,

**The Protection Against Excessive Executive Compensation Bill, (In committee), and many more.



In all since he entered the U.S. Senate, Senator Obama has written 890 bills and co-sponsored another 1096. An impressive record, for someone who supposedly has no legislative record. . . .



My last point: Obama needs name recognition, he needs to be among the people, so people feel like they have access to him. HRC's debate challenge is more about the fact that her campaign is running low on money and she gets free air-time without spending anything. Would you give up the chance to see 20,000 voters up close and personal to be on a televised debate? No way! Obama, stick to your guns. Debate on your terms, not Hillary's!

I agree that he should debate her and that he should use it to show just what his strengths are. At the end of the day, if he has to get ugly with her then it does undercut the core issue of what he speaks to. It's always something with those people in search of another headline BUT instead of being so fervent in our support of him that we descend to their level of hate and spin, we need to keep ourselves higher than them and on track with what appeals to more and more people every day.

You're right; Obama should do a Fox News debate with Clinton. That would be a great place for a debate on immigration, national security, and the War on Terror.



And with that said, McCain and Huckabee should debate in a forum that would (probably) be equally hostile to them as Fox would (probaby) be to Obama/Clinton.

I just contribute last night to Obama's campaign. My wife and I also caucus in Colorado for him too. Man, it was a great feeling to see individuals of all walks of life come out and support Obama in Colorado.


I do have a question I want to ask everyone:



Should he accept Hillary's request to debate every week or should he be selective with the debates he does with her within the next four weeks?



Personally, I think he should debate her two times one on one on the issues (i.e. economic policies, gun control, Iraq, Security, Immigration). And, I think one of these debates should be on FOX (don't throw stones at me...lol...he needs to reach out to some of those individuals too because some of them are always saying he is not specific on issues and this would be the perfect forum to give them the specifics). That would be the compromise I would make with her in regards to these debates. I don't want him to be portrayed by her spin captains as someone who is scared to debate her. We need to take it to her but in dignified matter.

Folks, not only should we aware of the Super Delegates and how they could thwart our votes, but we definitely should stay up on the issue of Michigan and Florida delegates. From what I'm hearing, there's a chance that those delegates could be seated at the Convention. That would be extremely unfair to Barack because his name was not on either of those ballots.


If those delegates are seated and allowed to be counted, Barack can sue. The matter would likely be decided in court. Do we really want this to come down that?



This is something that Howard Dean needs to address right friggin' now, and he needs pressure from US to put pressure on the Clintons to see that the writing is on the wall. If Hillary wins; we walk. And the Party is finished.



It's high time we started flexing the political muscle [that some folks don't want us to know] we have.

In a report filed by Tucker Carlson of MSNBC it has been exposed that the Hillary Clinton Campaign may be in dire straits financially. The New York Post filed the following: Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton loaned her campaign $5 million from her personal bank account late last month, officials acknowledged today -- a surprising twist in the deadlocked race for the Democratic nomination.

"Late last month Sen. Clinton loaned her campaign $5 million," Clinton spokesman Howard Wolfson said late yesterday, after he was first questioned about possible Clinton-self-financing in a conference call with reporters.



"The loan illustrates Sen. Clinton's commitment to this effort and to ensuring that our campaign has the resources it needs to compete and win across this nation," he added.

"We have had one of our best fundraising efforts ever on the web stoday and our Super Tuesday victories will only help in bringing more support for her candidacy."



The move came after Clinton's fundraising for January paled in comparison to rival Sen. Barack Obama's – he raised a staggering $32 million to her $13.5 million, officials said.

And the two are hunkering down for a drawn-out war of attrition over the next several weeks of primaries and caucuses, after last night's Super Tuesday battles failed to crown a clear winner.

Several people close to the campaign were unaware of the loan, sources said.

"He's got a huge advantage in that he is the Internet candidate," said one Clinton campaign source, referring to Obama's ability to raise web bucks. (end of article)



In spite of the spin the Clinton Campaign may attempt to put on this revelation, MSNBC's Carlson reported today that Clinton Campaign staffers are being asked to work without pay through the month of February including some of the higher-ups on the staff. Andrea Mitchell from MSNBC reports that the Clinton campaign mismanaged funds by over spending in Iowa which was a losing effort. We already know that she can't manage Bill but now Clinton's financial woes make some wonder, if she can't manage her campaign....how could she manage a country. Should she be trusted handling America's economy ? With money problems like these....no wonder she cried !

Yes--but...they did make it back in as of 10am EST. I don't think there was a shortfall. The Clintons lie all the time. She cries when she needs the middle aged white women to come to her rescue. People please stay focused on this super delegate issue. As most of you know, super delegates can override the popular vote of their constituency. Many of the super delegates are members of the congressional black caucus, and most support Clinton. That being said, Obama enjoys the overwhelming support of African Americans as evidence of his wins in South Carolina and Missouri. In my view it would be criminal if those super delegates within the cbc went against the popular will of those they represent. So stay on top of this issue and let your representive know that your watching.

I gotta admit, that is pretty sad. There's no good way Clinton can spin that.

He still needs to start winning consistently and then more decisively in order to avoid a brokered convention, which favors HRC. It is going to take a lot of money over the next couple of months.



Don't count her out though. She is really good at playing the victim card and has no problem using it. I am disturbed at the amount of emotional blackmail people buy into. As for Taylor Marsh, I believe she is on HRC's payroll. They discovered she was taking money from a group affiliated with the Clintons. Some people really have no shame.
