I'm a white guy who hasn't been involved in community or political issues until very recently. As such, I've had concerns about whether my long-term consternation about Mr. Wynn is just me, or whether it is more widespread heree in MD-04 (apparently the latter, I'm happy to see). I've also wondered how the demographics break out for Donna Edwards vs. Al Wynn.

Keep on keepin' on with this blog, especially your blog roll, which I rely on for hopping around to other African-American oriented blogs.

Best Regards!

Steve-MD/DC

Ah, your comments about a (possible) generational gap within the African-American community (at least wrt politics) hits on a topic of considerable interest to me; I had hoped you might attempt to address it back when you were guest posting at MyDD.com (that’s how I found your home site, btw; been dropping by periodically ever since).

I’m not surprised about the break-out for the Democratic presidential primary; the progressives over at Black Agenda Report seem quite bothered about the support Senator Obama has been getting, but I figured they may not be particularly representative of the likely-to-vote African-American community as a whole.

My interest is more in the same kind of split here in Albert Wynn’s MD-04 Congressional district. No generation gap in my family.

There's something in the air, don't ya think, Jill?
