This debate is going to rage on all year and will get really interesting if Huckabee is the Republican nominee…two extremes if it’s Huckabee vs either Clinton or Obama since anecdotal evidence suggest that fundamental Christians are both sexist and racist.

A few questions:

1) Would those same NH voters have felt as much sympathy for a quivery-voiced and teary-eyed Michelle Obama?

2) How does Hillary Clinton expect to gain the respect of world leaders like Putin, Ahmedinajad, or Chavez by "crying" in front of the world?

3) Larry Elder recently quoted some statistics suggesting, among other things, that only 3% of those polled indicated that they would never vote for a Black candidate under any circumstance. Didn't Obama lose New Hampshire by a mere 3%???

Make no mistake; Bradley is in full Affect. It might not be as obvious as it was 20 years ago, but it's still alive and well.

A Pew researcher made an interesting point in an NYT op-ed that poor white voters were the difference: they don’t show up on polls because they refuse to answer pollers’ questions, and they swung the primary in Clinton’s favor.

Thanks for posting this here. I thought it was on spot the first time I read it – that hasn’t changed.

I keep on telling Black women, we are only ‘ Sisters’ when it’s convenient for White women…when we’ve lived out our usefulness..well, you know the drill. If they’re Black in America, they know the drill.

You have just eloquently expessed what I have been feeling since I read that racist Steinem essay and since Crygate. You need to send this to the white blogs, I swear. My girlfriends and I were just talking about this. I don’t think Hillary’s white damsel in distress thing is going to go over well in South Carolina or even Nevada. Women of color do not appreciate that stuff.

My source in South Carolina read the previous thread. This person was not impressed; they said said, “House Negroes, um no, we’re not stuck in some sort of 1940s time warp around here.” Remember this is coming from somebody that you want to vote for Obama. I hope people will tone down the bashing of South Carolina blacks. It’s counter-productive.
