Now, this is just like Nevada. The rules that the party set were fine months ago. Now that they do not benefit the Clintons, they want to change the rules.

This much hate is not good for my spirit.

Florida screwed itself all the way around. It could have joined Tsunami Tuesday and been a factor. It could have had a February 12th primary and been the coupe-de-grace for somebody. It could have even had a following Saturday primary and gotten some attention. Now they get nothing until the convention.

And we are really seeing Hill’s desperation and hubris. Why would she go against her world unless she is feeling pressured by what’s happened, and upset that she can’t seem to win for losing?

The assumption is that the preacher would bring along the congregation is based on an outmoded and frankly not very liberal outlook. These days the congregation has the internet and can read for themselves and make oup their own minds. Plus while people respect the minister’s views, it’s a new day, and people want their own say.

If Robert Byrd endorses *0*, i’d love to see the campaign make him the “official” attack dog and sic-him on BillClinton for the remainder of the primaries.

That truly shocked me this morning.

On another note, I just learned that some preachers are paid to “consult/endorse” candidates. On George Stephonoplaus (sp?) they talked about Obama won SC without “street money,” meaning he did buy the endorsments of black preachers. Intially, he and Clinton were bidding for churches (not sure how that works) but he decided he wasn’t going to do that. His integrity won over.

Hmmmm. . Calvin Butts in NY is also a paid Clinton consultant.

I wonder if the members of the congregations know they are bing prostituted to the political establishment. How much of the money do the members, the church building, the missionary workers, receive from the deal? This is the epitome of selling one’s soul.

…Clinton campaign strategists denied any intentional effort to stir the racial debate. But they said they believe the fallout has had the effect of branding Obama as “the black candidate,” a tag that could hurt him outside the South.

I guess Clinton is colorless and genderless, since she couldn’t muster a majority of her race or gender. What scum these people are. If Gore comes on board we’re going to really see them melt down. No Mercy!

I wonder how Earl felt when Clinton threw that cheap broadside at Obama about being like Jesse Jackson.

Gov. Sebelius is an interesting case. I am preparing a piece on her for my blog (Anovelista) since I recently discovered her in the latest issue of Vogue (sorry folks – I’m also a beauty and fashion writer prepping for NYC Fashion Week LOL!!)

A few interesting points about her:

* She was elected governor in notoriously red Kansas and she has been called “the nation’s leading expert on how red turns into blue.”

* She went to the same college as Nancy Pelosi – Trinity College in D.C.

* Her father was a former governor (Ohio) which madkes them the first set of father-daughter governors in American history.

* When asked (by Vogue) which Democratic hopeful would have the best shot of becoming president if he or she had to win only Kansas to get elected, she replied (after a long pause):

My gut says it would probably be Obama. His mom came out of Kansas. He has some real Midwestern values, and I think he excites people in a way that nobody else in the field does right now. He taps into that sort of indefinable, extra percentage that could change the dynamics in a state where things have been pretty predictable.”

Keep in mind, magazines have a 3 month lead time, which means she gave this interview around October/November 2007.

Ok, here goes. He’ll probably talk about how the press has unfairly brought up how much Bill has campaigned for Hillary and then wonder why nobody went after Michelle Obama or Elizabeth Edwards for endorsing their husbands. He might even throw in that nobody complained about George H.W. Bush supporting Dubya in 2000.

Then he’ll talk about how the media’s distortions of the Clintons alienated blacks who the Clintons had spent “35 years” fighting for and how he was personally embarrassed that blacks in South Carolina decided to vote for an untested rookie instead of the smartest woman in the world.

I mean, just staggering. A beat-down landslide victory in South Carolina, followed by two beloved Kennedys throwing all in for Obama.

The only endorsement in the Democrat Party more valuable than that of Teddy Kennedy’s is… well, Bill Clinton.

The spin coming out of this should be fascinating.

Al Gore can’t be too far behind. If so, Obama should save that endorsement until Wednesday morning – steal the headlines and prevent Hillary from getting any cheap publicity/momentum coming out of the Florida Primary.

Some one here made the comment that they thought SC Folks were “slow” on Obama….but NYC? THis seems like pure bulls##t to me. Folks on here from NY need to step up…Me and my folks are going to hold-it-down for Obama in GA.
