Obama and the pastor of the Church he attends in Chicago. That pastor (who has wisely kept a low profile thus far) has a reputation of being a polarizing and outspoken individual in the mold of past Black leaders from the Civil Rights Movement (eg., the Al Sharptons and Jesse Jacksons). The difference is he is much more radical than the aforementioned. I hope and pray Sen. Obama and his supporters DO NOT TAKE THE BAIT as they have done with the latest barrage. The Clintons are MASTERS of spin and dirty politics. In one of the debates earlier in the year, when asked what his new year's resolution would be, Sen. Obama said one of them would be not to get distracted by the fear of losing. That was a direct message to the Clinton camp (in code) to not go down this path they're pursuing now. That would put Hillary in the White House at the expense of the explicit mandate of the American people to move on in a new and positive direction. The Clintons will do ANYTHING to win the presidency (and repair the damage later). That is what they do. That is their strategy and it has been all along. She refused to do MTP until this past Sunday after she had significantly marginalized Russert because he was afraid he would be accused of piling on. There is some stuff over at Huffington.
