There’s an ad on the Huffington Post and the Nation’s website detailing Huckabee’s relationship with a white supremacist organization. He’s not quite the compassionate, christian man he pretends to be.

I have to say that I was LMAO reading this post. The Huckster may be one beer short of a sixpack, but gosh darnit, there’s something likeable about him. And, I’m telling you, if he weren’t spouting the populist line, he’d be running away with this. But, the populist message has put a target on him – the GOP Establishment is gunning for him.

With all his lunacy, I prefer that over a hollow shell like Flipping Mitt.

Freedom of speech is for individuals, not for the government. It's one thing to respect the rights of individual citizens to fly the Confederate flag, but the first amendment does not include the right of south carolina to fly it as their state flag. Whether or not that is done is up to the residents of south carolina. In fact, the first amendment specifically states that several rights given to citizens to not apply to the government, such as establishment of religion.

And as an American, it's certainly mine and anyone else's right to criticize.

Far as the Confederate flag issue goes….it’s not a presidential issue. It’s a state beef. Not to mention the whole “freedom of speech” thing….

I just had a conversation with a guy I'm smitten with who was like if he were to vote Republican it would be Huckabee.

Sigh.

I had to straighten him out on that...admittedly for a minute he was getting Huckabee and Romney confused but still...

Relax. Huckabee will never be the Republican nominee. He’s the Republican version of Bill Clinton.

As for Rush Limbaugh, he was using the word ‘spade’ to stick it to Hillary, who described Obama as not having done the ‘spadework’ necessary to be president. Rush picked up on Hillary’s use of the word before anyone in the main stram media.

huckabee is a chameleon and, though his motives are transparent and obvious to anyone willing to dig deeper than the aw shucks dimpled big eyed grinning country boy affect, that is, tragically, not the vast majority of americans.

this shit works. that's why he terrifies me. witness his recent blather about amending the constitution to come into line with God's laws . . . one would think that would wake people up, but no, he moves up in the SC polls.

i believe this country clown is as devious and underhanded and backstabbing and dishonest as any politician ever to seek public office. what makes him so dangerous is that he wraps it all up in an inoffensive, almost sweet, populist exterior.

i'm sure no one here has forgotten the down home country boy appeal of george bush. folks could imagine having a beer with him and thus assumed he would be a great president. i choke as i write that shit, given the disaster of the last 7 years.

lord save us from this squirrel eating soft voiced grinning fool. he terrifies me.
