As Think on These Things points out, she’s on the record criticizing mandatory minimums herself. If she wants to remind everyone else of her propensity to say and do anything to appease an audience, then I’m perfectly fine in watching that explode in her face.

I don’t know how you, from a purely political perspective, bring up this issue among Democratic primary voters who are much more liberal than the electorate in the general. Does she actually think these people are for mandatory minimums?

Moreover, is she really going to go into South Carolina and advocate that Genarlow Wilson ought to have spent the next 10 years in jail? In the words of the President that she tries so hard to mimic: Bring. It. On.

I’m certainly in the Obama camp, but if Hillary’s going to win the nomination, I wish she’d hurry up and do it…because the longer this goes on, the more she’s convincing me not to vote for her. Ever.

I know he’s treading a fine line and not wanting to appear like he’s running for President of Black Folks (a position I agree with) but he needs to explain how mandatory minimums were disproportionately affecting the black community and stand his ground.

I doubt that explaining this will scare “white folks” but expose Hillary as an asshole.

We will see just how desperate she is…but more importantly, we will see Obama “float like a butterfly, sting like a bee.” It’s gonna be great TV.

I wonder if she’s also opposed to felon re-enfranchisement too?

I resigned myself to voting for her over any Republican if she made it, although I don’t think she has any real assets other than Bill. But now, go Barack!
