I’d like to see statistics for how many of the minority borrowers were the first in their family to own a home, how many of their friends were home-owners, and other similar data.

Most of the people ripped-off by subprime lenders didn’t know what questions to ask or what to look for in their contracts. Having an experienced support network can help prevent this from happening.

i saw congressman james mcgovern talk about this issue at the campus progress conference months ago. he said this subprime blowup would see the greatest eradication of black wealth in the history of the united states
