It is so sad, that at a time when dynamic leadership could have turned things into a triumph we get the typical crap from our leaders. Its pretty obvious, they only care about being elected and not about the people. The failure of the demos (after their landslide win) to do anything resembling what they promised is proof that politicians will lie through their teeth to be elected then turn their backs on the people and spread their arms to the special interests and anyone with money. The generic statements on the websites show a stunning lack of care about the real issues in the south.

I am shocked that you were shocked. Exactly what is it that you don't understand about the open brazenness and hostility of the NAZIS known as the GOP? Now I'm shocked.

Has anyone put any thought into preparing for a hurricane without any air support? Think about it. Look at the New York area The NY TRACON is in Westbury and the ARTCC is in Ronkonkoma. They are about 35 miles apart. If one gets hit with a disaster what are the chances that the other will still be there and operational?

Most likely the radars and the phone lines plus the antennas and dishes will not be there. When the FAA did this I don't think they were thinking about any kind of disaster plan. I don't think that there is a government plan that tells you to put 2 vital systems only 35 miles apart. But this is happening all over the U.S.

If you think this is silly then you will love what I have to tell you about South Florida. They are putting the same to vital radar systems only 1.5 nautical miles apart. I would really like to see the government plan that tells them to endanger lives and the economy of an area. I have all the official paper work on this website. www.faahope.com I will fight this to try and save the people and businesses of South Florida. I have an open case in the Office of the Inspector General’s in the Department Of Transportation since Jan 2007. I’m not giving up without a fight

When reviewing the Republican candidate sites, I admit I was shocked. Rudy Giuliani is running on his dubious record on 9/11 and whom associates himself with security and crisis response. Yet there is only a headline link for a terse Katrina statement.

If that shocks you, I have to think you spent the nineties somewhere other than New York. Giuliani is interested in burnishing his image and punishing people who damage his image. Many people who damaged his image during his term as mayor by being mistreated by his police and his policies for being poor or not-white or dying of AIDS or by wanting to use their civil liberties or their government benefits and making him look bad.

Those people got hurt if Giuliani could hurt them because he's always made it abundantly clear that it pisses him off that they have the nerve to exist in his city.

The people of New Orleans can thank God he wasn't in charge during Katrina. He wouldn't have just kept the supplies out. He would have sent in snipers to deal with the imaginary looters (not hyperbole. He sent snipers to demonstrations he didn't like)
