Mrs. Obama, as I’ve said many times, is about the only person who could convince me that my gut instincts about her husband and his record are wrong.

She could do this by articulating who and whose she is and reaching across gender and philosophy to telegraph important cultural ques. She does this effortlessly and effectively.

She is truly beguiling and captivating. She would be hard to resist. I am pleased in a strange way that you had this experience even though I don’t support Obama.
