This site never posts for me when I use a name.
Anyway, I give up on this issue of FOX not being the grand issue of concern for Blacks. Let’s just shut down Fox. Maybe then we can talk about why our high school graduation rates have scarecely changed in decades, or why our young men would rather identify with a gang than succeed in school.We are angry at the people on this collection of clips who are Black and have negative things to say about Blacks? I just read a post that is critical of Rep. Jefferson on here. So it’s okay for you to criticize, but they can’t because they are on FOX doing it. That reeks of do as I say but not as I do.I like for media to have the freedom to report and let me decide. I am assuming you all have caught FOX in some lies before, so their power of persuasion can’t be that good. Sharpton is on their from time to time and defends his points quite effectively. As well as the young man shown talking to Oreilly about the “articulate” question in the clips who I believe is a professor, he defends his points very well and has been on there often.If a Presidential candidate can not do the same, maybe they don’t have what it takes to be President. We can’t make judgements if all we watch are clips and soundbites, that is what the rest of the media world, including bloggers, is accusing Fox of doing, right? Yeah, some of the mess they speak is overtly racist, but so are we sometimes. Would you want your blog cut because of it. So let’s just shut it down. But let’s not get upset when someone decides that CNN is too left of center and starts a shut down campaign against them or the other liberal networks (NBC,CBS).BTW, as an educator, I can tell you that rappers do much more damage to our children’s and community’s psyche than FOX ever will. Let’s form a PAC against the willful degradation of our culture by these so called artists for fame and money. We need to get angry about many things, but as far as Fox is concerned, change the channel.

What FOX News needs to know (and see) is successful television content that portrays upstanding Black and Latino citizens in a positive and more accurate light.

So while we demand better of FOX News, we’ve got to place more demands on powerful Black and Brown people in media to move toward that end. The reason that FOX News does this kind of stuff is because they know that they don’t have to compete with another point of view: ours.

I think Fox Noise’s real purpose here is even more insidious – to link an obvious Democratic Scumbag (Rep. Jefferson) to the (perhaps unfair?) “persecution” of Alberto Gonzales, who is prominently displayed in the video.
