As the grandson of Edna and Isadore Delcambre, of Delcambre, Louisiana, I support this kind of legislative statement to the youth of our nation. As for myself, raising 4 boys, I have seen enough droopy diapers and butt cracks and wonder who these kids think they are fooling. Though I do not think America needs Underwear police, I do think that a segment of our society's youth bask in the spectacle they are making of themselves. I have seen pants drop on these kids while walking down the street and it reminds me of my little boys wearing wet diapers that are falling down. It only makes them more foolish. Just as in the classic story of "the Emperor's New Clothes" These kids think this is fad of exposing themselves and their undergarments makes them appear to be the avant guard of fashion, when much younger youth can clearly see the error plainly. I have a new play on an old statement "Just Say No to Crack!"<br/> Or in another vernacular- "Y'all pull up yer britches fer Christ Sake!- yor butt crack is as big as the Gran canyun an it shor makes you look mighty foolish!" to the Girls I might add "Them's not underware, thet thar is butt-floss, and I seen mor cotton in an asper-in bottle" <br/><br/>Savy? I am from the south, Houston. And I can't wait for this ordinance to be passed here. You don't know anyone who exposes themselves for a fashion choice? I am seeing boxers everyday and sometimes buttocks. Now the new trend is to not even sag them, just hold the pant up with one hand and stick the other hand down into your pants into their crotch. If it hasn't reached you northern folks yet, count yourselves lucky. The purpose is not racist. Acknowledge when our youth are doing wrong and try to correct it, not give them another reason to fall into "victimization" mode. I know nobody is reading this by now, but I had to say something.
