As for Matt’s suggestion, I agree: I think that black bloggers should consider creating joint pages. Our individual audiences may not be huge enough (yet!) for separate accounts but it would be a way to put our money where our mouths are.

One possibly lunatic Maryland Republican blogger is putting out the word that it’s crazy for Democrats to challenge Wynn in the primary, but you don’t take Democratic strategy advice from a Republican blogger.

Those who like this race can follow up on it from time to time at Free State Politics, where Isaac Smith is providing good continuing coverage.

My suggestion is that you do your own. You should try to increase your personal power, and work to learn how to generate donations to candidates that support your values and ideas. Also, building an Actblue page that is functional has the added effect of creating a list for other fundraisers to use of candidates they might want to raise money for. Lots of progressives don’t know who to raise money for, and they appreciate lists that are built by different groups of people that are putting their money where their mouth is.

It’s important of course to actually get some donations for your endorsed candidates. Doing so can generate interest, press, and even more political legitimacy for your ideas.
