And I don't care how "progressive" they have been in the past, their continued doggedness in defending Jefferson has tarnished all who are doing the defending, and these actions have rendered anything they did good as a moot point. It really is a very low standard to get an indictment. An indictment is more of a quality control device. So you can't really presume guilt just because someone was indicted. You would hope that prosecutors would only indict guilty people, but that does not always occur. <br/><br/>That being said, the CBC can dig in its heels BECAUSE they have basically lifetime appointments once elected. When’s the last time you heard someone CUTTING a deal and at the end of it got 8 YEARS.

Standing by Jefferson just doesn’t make any sense. The CBC doesn’t look principled; they look foolish.

There are just some Black folk you don’t have any business defending.
