Racism is so old and tired. Throwing out accusation of illegal voting in South Carolina while targeting African-Americans? Ugh. (h/t Election Central/TPMCafe)
Mark, CeCe -- There is no explicit statement here. However, the implication is quite clear. 1. The video footage portrays only Black voters. 2. The piece begins by criticizing the time line for the primary (black dominated electorate) as being moved up too early, 3. The piece states that double voting is a problem for the GOP to deal with when in fact the potential for illegal voting to mar the primary results exists in both directions, and finally 4. the piece is assuming the worst before an election has even been held.
Why are only Black voters shown? Why is the GOP concerned about voter fraud here more so than the other primaries? Has FOX examined all potentially fraudulent routes that might be exploited in other primaries held in other states?
I don't like the implication here. Let's assume integrity and sincerity in the process until there is evidence otherwise. Preparations must be carefully made to prevent voter disenfranchisement and voter fraud. Then we must trust the systems and our fellow citizens to be responsible.
CeCe
I don't see the racism either. Is it racist if other news organizations cover voting irregularities. Or is it fair only if it portrays us Blacks as not being "allowed" to vote because we don't have ID? When we prejudge and only listen to one side of any story, your perception becomes biased.
Mark
I don't understand how this is racist

Kind of reminds me of the "Willie Horton" ad that George Bush Sr.'s peeps put out during his campaign.
Not sure how or why the CBCI thought it was a good idea to climb in bad with folks who would portary Black folks in this way.
