I still think the CBC is delusional about their hookup with the White Citizens Council Network. They thought that they could just poo-poo folks, and we'd go back to the corner and wait for them to never explain it.

If anything, what I appreciate about the Black Blogosphere, and other activist elements, like the CBC Report Card, is that Black folk are asking questions of other Black folk. I think that's always a good thing.

I DO think, though, that the next thing to conquer is the fundraising thing. There should be a way for us to funnel monies to worthy candidates, across the country. There should be some sort of clearinghouse where we can be told of the candidates, why they are worthy of support, and a way to fundraise for them.

I like the Black Blogosphere. I agree with some things from some folk on the right; Same on the left; and same of our militant Brothers and Sisters. I think our community is in bad enough shape that we can't throw away anyone willing to contribute positively, which is why we can't start in on ideological purity. If you don't agree with someone's POV, then challenge them to come up with solutions. if they don't, then dismiss them, not before. No one side has all the answers.

I read that article and thought it was on point.
