Collectively, we understand that so many guns in so many hands is not a healthy and safe thing. But if and when we amass the political power to stop the prolific <i>flow</i> of guns and gun sales, we MUST exercise the political power to ensure that guns are kept away from unstable and criminally-inclined people. <br/><br/>That means, in my mind, that prospective buyers must satisfy additional criteria before they can purchase--no different than a car. Kinda hard core, I know. But by the time we have the political numbers in our favor, hard core solutions will be all that are left.
