Bush actually acquiesced to the facts of the report, and said a few--<i>a few</i>--words about it. Still, we shouldn't have to wait until 2002 for official validation of something that we've always known to exist.<br/><br/>And although I'm a strong Obama man, I agree that he might be making things harder than they should be. One reason that he probably hasn't raised CBC PAC money is because his campaign boasts that they aren't taking PAC money--it'd be somewhat hypocritical of him to reject PAC money donations, while fundraising for a PAC also. If he already gave $5K to the CBC PAC a year ago, he's either going to have to fall on that sword and offer a mea culpa, or he's going to have to change his position and accept PAC money so that he can raise funds for them.<br/><br/>This is where we in the Black community have an opportunity to think outside our colonial walls, and see the bigger picture. We can either use this as one more reason to say "<i>see, I told you he wasn't Black enough</i>", or we can anticipate what the remainder of the voting public is waiting for: a viable, likeable, and electable Black candidate who's been sufficiently beaten down <b>from within</b> so that, ironically, they don't have to.
