Why is this even remotely ok? Why is ridiculing black art so incredibly funny? Would have been funnier in blackface and fake gold grills maybe. Must be watched to be believed.
Nice post. I also have a blog about Hip Hop and i would love if someone would like to post Hip Hop news.

Now, about the CBC in bed with Faux News...
While disappointing and disgusting, now that someone has FOLLOWED THE MONEY and exposed it, I understand.
I always said if they found the money, I'd understand, even if I vehemently disagreed.
Sad to know that they can be pimped so cheaply.

Someone wrote this on another blog, and it was so appropriate, I can't stop using it.
This is a definite sign the apocalypse is coming.
But, I'm not with you on calling hip hop an ' art form'. Maybe back in the day. Now? It's a Modern Day Minstrel Show.
I know..you'll come to me with the handful, here and there, who are saying something...but, just admit it...they don't get play, they don't get publicity, they aren't promoted. What IS pushed forth is a Minstrel Show.
But, even if I accepted that it was 'art', you can't be surprised by the actions of 'The Brain'. Nobody can. In the least.

Great post Jill! Yes our handkerchief head brothers over at the CBC has sold us out.
This is an outrage! But it just goes to show you that everyone has a price. I hope these sell outs suffer at the ballot box the next time they come around for our votes.
PS.I think I commented at the right place, but I am not sure. I couldn't comment under the post with this topic.

I was so sure I would be offended by Karl Rove's Black-face rap act that I didn't even watch it. I didn't want to give the little M-F the satisfaction. Thanks for confirming what I already suspected.

Comments don't seem to be enabled on the previous article. (I wanted to write and correct you: the CBC won't be co-hosting one Democratic and one Republican debate on Fox, they'll be co-hosting on Democrat and one Republican debate on Fox. C'mon.)
And much as I hate Rove, that's a shtick that the 'Whose Line Is It Anyway?' guys often do. Not just with rap, but with opera, country western, whatever.
