Unlike other social issues, there is a real conflict/lack of consensus. <br/><br/>But yeah, Willis is right on. The difference of course, is that between White Christian justifications for Slavery, Reconstruction, Jim Crow and the 80s we know what that kind of hypocrisy looks like, and it looks like the Republican Party. After the racist backlash that produced Reagan, Democrats are reluctant to put our issues at the forefront again. Cowards.
