We all know from the historically huge protests in the spring of 2006 that the so-called immigration “reforms” such as a giant fence being promulgated by certain racist, far-right factions are anathema to many Americans. Real reform is going to be challenging but is necessary. Criminalizing poor working people and their children is not the answer.
